NASB donation provides the Lexington R-V School District with needed supplies for over 600 kids in Leslie Bell School and Middle School for the second year. For the 2018/2019 school year supplies obtained from the NASB donation provided supplies for the staff/students for the entire year. This allowed for more projects for kids without having to ask parents or staff to buy the supplies. Last year Leslie Bell purchased pencils, glue sticks, index cards, scissors, crayons, markers, binders, books, writing boxes, Science consumables, writing journals, chalk and folders for grades K-4th. This allowed for projects to be done without costing parents and teachers out of pocket. The Lexington Middle School used the NASB donation to help purchase different items for students to have in the classroom. They were able to purchase rolling file cabinets, hanging folders and file folders for each student. Students were given a folder to store their work for conferences with teachers and parents. Individual dry erase boards were purchased for students to use in math to solve equations and in language arts for writing in teams. Supplies were also purchased to create artistic displays of projects in social studies and science. Other items included journals for writing, graph paper for math and science, atlases for social studies, and pens, pencils and sharpeners. The donation helped teachers to expand their projects to include more hands on creations. Each building plans to purchase similar supplies for the 2019/2020 school year. Thank you NSBA for the generous donation of funds!
